So last week I started riding the city bus to commute to work, in an attempt to avoid the rising gas prices and try to save some money to do things I'd rather do. I haven't ridden the bus in over twenty years so sure it was bound to be an eye opening experience. I had no clue the weirdness I was missing out on. I have come to the conclusion that most of the crazy people in the greater Little Rock area ride the bus. These freaks make me look like freak lite. I have a rent a cop stalker. One that I've hoped I've discouraged, but man he wouldn't give up until I was mean. Then there is the bipolar lady that has issue with a "white lady riding the bus". She's very relieved to know I don't have bi-racial kids and if I was dating a black man, she'd have to punch me out.

Taking the bus is horrible. Especially due to those gays who sit on the outside seat and don't move over and use it for their bags.

I used to ride the bus to school as well. I remember one time to show off in front of the people in the bus I told one of my really good friends that while we're on the bus we're not friends. I was awesome.

I forgot to tell you about the guy that has tourettes, but has lost his hearing. Sadly he doesn't yell out obscene words or phrases..........just random shit that is sometimes quite funny. And it's in the weird not quite enunciated way that deaf people talk. That makes it all the more amusing.

I remember this one cute girl who would ride the bus with me daily, she'd get in about three stops after me and would get off sometime after me, and she always wore her Catholic school uniform, this whole routine lasted from when I was 12 to when I turned 16, I tried to talk to her in the early days but she had headphones on and ignored me fairly quickly. Then when I started driving one day I pulled up to the bus stop where she always stood and was all "get in" and she was all "no, creep" and that was the end of that.

Yanno I would be game for that, only we would have to watch a movie and have a discussion afterwards, to make me feel like you care about what I think. (though I know you really don't......it's a little game that must be played) I don't make brownies real without a box, but I do make a hell of a chocolate gooey cake that has brought many man to his knees. Then we'll have sex..........lots and lots of sex.

Buses here tend to be full of students and old people. I remember gypsies once. That was different.
There are always hot lady people on the bus I take regularly, I remember seeing one really hot one two weeks ago. But then when I saw where she got off I realized I am too good for her

Actually you may have made a mistake in judgement there. I live in a really nice section of NLR, but I have gotten off at an earlier stop before when I thought someone was watching me. I don't want crazies knowing where I live.

Seems I've started a trend. There are now five other people that I work with that have started riding the bus. We now have a lil bus clique. I have observed this with other bus occupants, but never thought I would be part of a group. Sadly I go home later than my clique........so I'm mostly alone with strange people in the evening. On the upside I have been having conversations, in the evening, with a gay vegatarian. He's pretty witty, even if he is overly thin.

So yesterday this woman got on with her three year old daughter. A couple stops later, another woman got on and sat behind me. She immediantly got on the phone and started telling someone that such and such was on the bus and how she wouldn't look even look at her, cuz she knew she would slap her down. Woman with child overhears and starts mouthing across my seat at the woman on the phone. Seems woman with child called DHS on woman with phone and got her children taken away from her. All this yelling was going on back and forth across me. Finally woman with child got off bus. I was understandably relieved, as I was afraid they were going to start exchanging blows above my head.
Then woman with phone gets up and goes up to busdriver to complain about the woman with kid. She walks back to her seat and then tries to start something with me. She told me I was that lady that got her in trouble at the daycare by saying she wasn't taking good care of my child. I ignored her at first...but she kept on. I finally went off on her crack head ass and told her first thing......seeing my only child is 18.....and she looks about 25, I seriously doubt she ever babysat my kid. Second, if she got her children taken away from her by DHS.......what daycare would possibly keep her employed? She told me to shut the hell up and went to sit back in the back of the bus. Just another day of whack jobs on public transportation.

Not all of us do. The bus here is always half empty and at worst filled up with noisy teenage spotty students. The nut-jobs seem the respect the sanctity of the bus, the most you'll get is the occasional swear word as someone bitches top someone else about something fucked up in their life. Bus-stops however seem to be a place for brawling and pissing. Public transport here is unreliable but is fairly safe (even trains are okay provided you aren't in the wrong carriage with the wrong people at the wrong time). Having said that I'd much prefer a car.

Words of wisdom overheard on the bus this week. "You noticed I didn't look when he catcalled me? Ladies pretend they don't hear you...........ho's turn around." and this gem "If a white man is riding a bike........he's a health nut. If a black man is riding a bike..........his ass is broke." and the best "He ain't crazy.......he just public crazy so he can keep that check coming in. He's one of those that only act crazy when someone is watching. He ain't crazy....he just don't wanna work." Ahhhhhh the sages of public transportation.

Your loss Captain Meanypants.

Yesterday this dude got on with a lawnmower still in the box. I realize that people don't have other means of transportation, but come on! This box was huge. He had to put it in the area that the seats go up for wheelchairs and still it blocked some of the isle. Then he got pissed off at every person that got on that bumped the box. Craziness. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, figuring he HAD to go get one to mow the lawn before code enforcement ticketed him, but no.........he picked it up hot and was traveling across town to sell it to a friend and make a buck. I guess you can't blame a man for trying to make some money, but a freaking lawn mower on a bus???? Last week I saw a guy coming from the river, with his fishing poles, bucket, and tacklebox. These weren't poles you could slide into one another to make them small......no these were those extremely long cane poles that they use for crappie fishing. I watched in amusement as this man had to bend his poles just to get them on the bus. What are people thinking? I'm sure the people that rode with him appreciated the fish smell coming from his bucket.

I'm trying to save money so I can travel some this year. I'm tired of being a hermit and not exploring the world. Besides, riding the bus forces me out of my lonerish tendencies and makes me interact with people.
This said.......I do think I'm gonna start driving my car on Fridays.......that seems to be the day the truely crazy people ride the bus. It's also the day I get off at noon and I would like to be able to stick around town for a bit.

Yesterday a woman was sitting in her panties, tee shirt and a long coat, cuz she said she pissed herself. I would have never noticed she had no pants on, as she had a long coat on and I assumed she had a skirt on, but she decided to share the fact with me. I wonder if she thought I had xray vision and would out her if she didn't confess. I did find it odd she was in this coat and it was in the 70's, I still don't know why she felt the need to tell me.

Friday a huge woman, and I mean it would have have taken four of my vast self to make one of her, got on the bus. Due to her size they had to let down the wheel chair ramp, because she could not navigate the steps. She sat down and imediately started texting on her phone. Then she got a call and talked to someone that I assumed was her boyfriend. She flirted, her voice did not match her visage. She told him she would be home soon and would get online as soon as she did. Then she called her friend and told the friend that "HE" wanted to meet her and though she had told him she is disabled, that she had not told him how heavy she is.
So now I'm wondering...........which one of you are talking sweet nothings to a disabled Arkie?

I'm sure you haven't seen a pic yet.....or if you have it's over ten years old. She seems awful nice.....
